Life stories are hidden in the shadowy corners of our city. Beyond the busy streets and historic architecture, there are families in a daily struggle for access to the health care and products they need to maintain their health. In these families there are teenage mothers, grandparents neglected by children, people who are homeless or refugees and people who live in unsanitary conditions, without access to basic resources such as water and electricity. These difficult living conditions and the lack of access to adequate medical education lead to an alarming deterioration in their health.

The "HEALTH WITHOUT BARRIERS!" project, initiated in 2021 by the SURYAM Association and the Social Pharmacy, aims to improve the health of vulnerable people and, unfortunately, from the beginning of 2024 it will no longer be able to continue due to a lack of funds. It is worrying news for all those who depend on this aid for access to essential medical services and products.

Our objective is to ensure the access of at least 100 vulnerable people to essential medical services, paraclinical investigations, laboratory analyzes and pharmaceutical products in the first semester of 2024.
